Has anyone heard about this new knife from Cold Steel?

Link: Leatherneck-SF

It's similar to the Ka-Bar Next Generation Military Knife.

I've been trying to get my hands on one but its backordered...

It's not really "backordered" -- the first batch hasn't actually been produced yet.

Same with the new Voyager.

Once it is produced, Cold Steel site is the last place you should buy it from, of course.

Generally, not even from LTSPECPRO either, unless it's a closeout item special.

Absolutely nothing, they are great knives

And US made, unlike the Cold Steel. CS now has no US made offerings. Not that they don't still make some great knives, but just saying.

What's wrong with the real Kabar?

Nothing. I already have a Ka-Bar Next Generation and wanted to add the Cold Steel to the collection.

They seem to be the only outlet taking pre-orders for whatever reason.

Bump

?? Knife is still not out. No pre-release reviews that I can find either.

Heck, it could turn out to be vaporware for this year. The Voyager did for 2010, and so far for 2011 also.

Meanwhile, you could buy the Leatherneck Trainer to tide you over, it's available. :)

Well "they" (Cold Steel) are waiting on "them" (the factory in Taiwan or Japan or China) to crank the actual knives out.

There was a glitch in the supply chain for the new Voyagers, so they didn't make it out at the same time the new Recon 1s did.
