Shooting 22LF from a 22Magnum cylinder

I just discovered after about 150 rounds of 22 long rifle that I had the 22 magnum cylinder in my Rouger Single Six. Not that I will do this again but will it hurt the cylinder? There are no visible problems. Please make my mistake a reminder to check!!!;)

Nah, you didn't hurt cylinder, doubt if even long term use would.

Did you not notice the bulged casings?

I never thought to do it on purpose, but did a couple not long ago just to see.

You should send the pistol and any remaining ammo to me immediately! After extensive testing, it can be determined if it was damaged. ;)

I did notice the casings but never thought that was the problem-- just old ammo (20-25 years). Thanks for the proof read and info! LOL
