Fireproof pistol/gun safe

Recommended Posts

I have been wanting to get a safe for my pistol that is fireproof and has keypad access. I have been to several sporting goods stores and to Wally World but couldn't find the exact one I was looking for. Wal-Mart had a safe that was fireproof with a keypad but it was a little larger than I wanted. I also saw the GunVault safes but I don't think they are fireproof. Does anyone know if there is such a type of safe with both options? I don't really want a comination lock if I need access to my gun in an emergency. Maybe I am asking for too much from a safe but I would like one that can be easily accessed and still protect if from a fire. Any suggestions?

See above post, purchased a huge liberty safe for my long guns from Randy's pawn, really great people to deal with. Good prices too! Only about 45 minutes from Chatt.

DT McCall and Son's in Carthage, TN has great prices on Liberty safes (best I've even seen and you can even order via the Interwebz) and the have free delivery and setup within 125 miles of their store. Depending on which part of Chattanooga you live in, you may be within that range (it's 132 miles to the center of Chattanooga).

The Fatboy Jr is $1200.00 right now and the Fatboy is $1800.00 try to beat that with free delivery and setup.

+1 for liberty. Mine is just a combo lock, no keypad, but I am confident that between the fire glaze (paint, whatever it is) and the asbestos (or whatever it is) interior, that it will survive a typical house fire and typical burglar, probably both at the same time if need be. Presidential series, and worth every penny.

If you are looking for a small fire resistant pistol safe you won't be able to get any of the quick access pistol safes since all of them are not fire resistant. You could get a smaller safe made my Gardall its the MS911 and it runs around $299. If you have any questions you can call us at our office and we would be happy to steer you in the right directon. www.nashvillesafehouse.com We have over 150 safes in stock and we don't sell furniture or own a pawn shop, we only sell safes !
