Any good recipes for Unique powder with Berry's 230 RN??

Just got my pistol rotor and insert for my powder measure and am ready to put together my first loads. I have a pound of Unique and will be reloading some Berry's 230 round nose bullets. Looking for recipes out there if anyone has some pet loads. FYI, these bullets will be exiting the muzzle end of my Springfield TRP. Thanks!

5.8 grains of Unique will be a good load. Remember on the plated bullets, you should use lead data or "light" jacketed data. The plated bullets are great they just will not stand up to some of the "hotter" jacketed data.

I also use unique. Every Gun is different. I would make 50 bullets starting at 5.0gr working up to 6.0 in increments of 0.2 gr. Make 10 of each... shootem. Use what shoots best. I load 5.7gr 230gr lrn. I used that same test to find that load. You will be surprised at what 0.2gr difference will make for accuracy. Every gun will cycle differently. Your load should be tailored to your gun.

My father in law uses a springfeild 1911 he loads 5.0gr 230gr lrn. Says its a great light target load. In my gun they hit the dirt in front of the target.

BTW 6.2gr is the highest max load I have ever seen for lead/plated 230gr
