Thanks for posting this. I saw it the other day; it is well worth taking the time to look at. The guys at Areva are well worth listening to.

Round 2...the ground shook to the tune of a 7.4 "trembler" today in the same general area...hope those reactors can hold up.

Looks like more problems than first thought. The real news is that there is no "china syndrome".. I'm sure Jane Fonda and others are dissappointed.

Looks like the fuel may have shattered and piled up in the bottom of the reactor vessel just like Three Mile Island. This is bad news for the Japanese electricity consumer and TEPCO. My guess is that the unit (...at least the nuclear steam generation side...) is now expensive scrap metal.
