I have a hankering for some Shrimp and Grits. Anybody know of a good place in the Nashville area to get some? If not, anybody got a good recipe for some?

Mmm....You'll have to travel for the best.

Great Southern in Seaside, Florida has the best I've ever had. Hands down. I could make myself sick on them.

I hear good things about Fish & Co's. effort on 12th Ave South over in the Gulch, but haven't been in there yet.

You mean a good bowl of shrimp...and then a good bowl of grits?

Or is there really a concoction that includes the mixture of shrimp n' grits?

Trying hard to cerebrally mix those tastes, and not finding desirable outcomes. Can that be good? I mean, I'll try anything, including this, but really...

Try the cajun steamer in Franklin. My MIL says the shrimp and grits are awesome there.

I had the red royal shrimp and they were damn good.

Now I want to go back and get more!

I came up in here to brag on Puleo's Shrimp & Grits....that is mighty fine eatin'! Stone ground grits in the richest tasso gravy I've ever seen this side of Charleston with big plump shrimps. :)

am I the only one here that favors malt- o- meal Above any other hot cereal?

WTF does that have to do with Shrimp & Grits?

Love me some Shrimp-n-Grits! Puelo's is good, if a little pricey. Best I've ever had was at a restaurant in downtown Charleston, I forget the name.
