I was wondering of anyone knew a good firearm engraver in East TN. This thread I started ( http://tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=400 ) got me to looking into engraving.

Has anyone from the Fayetteville area ever heard of Kurt Horvatti Gun Engraving? That's the closest I've found in the limited searching I've done.

Comment and advice appreciated!:D

Thanks, I'd appreciate it!

My parents live in Lenoir City so a trip down that way wouldn't be out of the question if it's worth it.

any luck on the engraver??

I may know someone, but his availability isn't that great (my brother). he's a great artist and an excellent engraver...that being said, I think I'm going to get him to engrave a pistol for me when he gets home. If anyone else has found an engraver..post it up!!!

Not yet. I've just begun to look into it. I'll probably need it done by around mid June or so, plenty of time I think. PM me some more info about your brother if you don't mind. Church Hill is real close, I'm in Piney Flats, so that'll make it convenient. Thanks!!!

Anyone else?

LiLbucket, email me a picture of the gun, a description of what you'd like on it, etc..all the details...

I'll email my brother (hes' at sea right now and won't be home till around June) and ask him a. if he'll do it and b. how much he would charge you to do it.

I'll also look around and find some of his artwork if I can..if I cant I'll take a pic of some of his carvings and woodwork.

PM sent towerclimber37.

GlocKingTN-Ya, Maryville is close to Knoxville, it's actually where the Knoxville airport is. Small world sometimes.

I was searching around the forum and found this one before I started a similar thread myself. I, too, have been looking to get a revolver engraved for a parade/BBQ gun, but have had no luck in finding someone in the middle Tennessee area, much less, the whole friggin' state. I'd like to find someone whole has a good background/reputation in the business. Remember, a guy in this field only gets one chance at each firearm. You can't erase a mistake and start over.

I've searched the web and found a guy toward Mt. Eagle. But the only fellow actually advertising his engraving as a business is over in Missouri. There's actually a brotherhood/union/association of gun engravers.

I'd post links, but I'm at the office and most of my frequented sites have been blocked under the "weapons" filter. The TGO forum is one of the few I can still visit.

The Monteagle guy is very good.I saw some of his work a long time ago.He may be kind of pricey though as I have heard he is one of the best in the business.
