I would love to see this for Tennessee if not all states!

You're correct! In fact, it should be part of the US Constitution.....oh.....wait....

Good for Wyoming. thumbsup.gif

You won’t live long enough to see California acknowledge or comply with Constitutional carry. I doubt I’ll live long enough to see Tennessee comply; but we can hope.

We're working on it. It took over 15 years to get our current level of handgun carry. And it was done while Democrats controlled the Legislature, too! We'll get Constitutional Carry, but it may take a while.

I think you'll live long enough to say the phrase "I was alive when there was still a United States of America". :)

Going up, at least it is going in the right direction.

Any bets as to which state might be next? My guess would be Alaska.

I’ll take that bet; I’m sure it won’t be Alaska. ;)

Yeah, I'll double down on it not being Alaska, too.

Dam it, I stand corrected again.

I guess it is 2 late to pretend I was just checking to see if anyone was paying attention.

Something crossed my mind, posted before I properly fact checked my self and like and it got me. I was thinking it was AZ, UT and VT that was Constitutional Carry and I had done a quick check at one website but not another before I posted, which I should have checked another source instead.

OK, anyways, any idea which state will be next?

Yeah, I think that's the "bear" part.

I am not as up on this issue as I should be, but if your state goes to constitutional carry, how does that affect the reprocity agreements. I guess what I am really asking is if TN goes this direction, do we loose the ability to carry in states that do not have constitutional carry?

Yes, the right to bear arms is decided by individual states. You wouldn’t be able to carry in states that don’t allow it.

For states that have reciprocity agreements you would still need to pay the state for a HCP. Some states require some kind of training for reciprocity.

Just to put it another way from Dave...

3 out of the 4 states that have "Constitutional Carry" still issue permits. So if you have a permit from that state you can carry in whatever states honor that permit.

It's just that in those states that have "Constitutional Carry" you don't need a permit to carry there.

I don't think anyone really wants to do away with permit system (Unless all 50 states allowed carry without a permit) these states are just allowing carry without a permit for those that don't want to get one. If you don't ever plan on going out of state...it's a good deal.

I lived in Wyoming for a couple of years and can tell you this, all they did with this law was legalize what was already going on. A rancher I worked with told me that in Wyoming, they believe in the "3 S's - Shoot, shovel, and shut-up". Nice place to live though, very polite people.
