I'm Drew, live in Murfreesboro, just took my hand gun carry training class on Feb 13th at Guns & Leather.

Qualification Results (42 of 48 in the silhouette, 6 went high due to some problems I was having holding the Glock that G&L provided me with)

I Won't be getting my permit until May and my handgun until September though (finances).

I'm here to learn more about self-defense, and talk about guns, function, loads, and other gun related content.

I am going to get the CZ 75 P-07 Duty .40 as my first handgun in August

Howdy Drew and Welcome to TGO :yuck:

thanks DWarren...I've been around firearms since I was 12, took and passed the Missouri Hunter Safety Education Course at age 12, and aced it, I've been hunting for quail, pheasant, and rabbitt numerous times, was on the HS Trapshooting Team back home in Missouri as well as one of the Captains, I've also served in the Military (US Army), so I'm quite seasoned at firearm safety procedures and responsible handling. :P

I'm also kinda glad for the lack of finances, so as to give me more time to research and prepare before I actually purchase the firearm and start carrying.

I will be seeking some additional training (as I felt the HCP course was HIGHLY inadequate in many many aspects) in the upcoming months, so I can be better prepared and more comfortable with the legal aspects as well as situational awareness.

I plan on leaving the state for the summer to go do some work up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, but I'm submitting my application and fingerprints before I leave, that way when I get back in August, my permit will be waiting for me.
