Since I'm ever the eternal optimist, I offer the following:

Tennessee Firearms Association, Inc.

Legislative Action Committee

The Nashville Chapter is scheduled to meet on

Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 pm

Location: Interstate Drive Shoneys in the meeting room (same as January). This is the Shoneys next to the Titan's stadium right across from the Gerst Haus.

Speaker: Bill Price. Bill Price is a Class III dealer and an officer with the Tennessee Military Collectors Association.

Topic: Class III weapons Q/A

Come a little early and have time for dinner, or just coffee and pie.

Please RSVP on the TFA Online Forum under the Nashville Chapter section so that we can get a headcount for Shoneys

It's so much better to have optimism than to not have it.

Pardon my ignorance...but is this for all members in the nashville area?

TFA chapter meetings are open to the public; TFA membership is not required.

How did it go?

Not bad. 15 people showed up. I had a great mushroom swiss burger and hung out with a guy who is an investigator for the TN Human Rights Commission. Interesting dinner company -as you might imagine, the guy had some stories.

Mr. Price discussed the ins and outs of Class III ownership, including laws, costs, procedures, how the BATFE has improved customer service recently, etc.

John Harris did the usual legislative Q&A/update stuff, and plans for the next meeting and attendance at upcoming shows were finalized.

Shoney's treated us very well and we had the whole private room to ourselves once the meeting began.

There was some talk to doing some more of the "fun, gun-talk" kind of meetings instead of just the political stuff.

Danny: If you are reading this, I carried the Kimber in its new holster for the first time last night, and you were not there to see it. Very comfy.

sniff..sniff...I'm so proud :-)

I actually forgot all about this...I had planned on giving them one more shot.
