+1. I can't say I'm ATGATT, but almost.

As for not wearing the full face.... Wait until a june bug or rock from a tire tries to occupy the same space as you at 70+ mph. As for the claustrophobia, try focusing on something further away and/or wear the helmet around the house to get used to it. I feel naked without it.

Amen to that. I am ATGATT so even riding in jeans now feels like I'm exposed. Even when it's 95 degrees outside I'm covered head to toe.

According to the state's website you can get a learner's permit for a Class M license. However it may only be for 15-16 year olds.

When I got my bike I started by riding around the block a while then a few short rides. Then took the safety course. Took my certificate from the safety course and got my Class M license.

The safety course is very good...although I think you do need some minimum experience first even though the seem to advertise the course for someone that has never set on one...

I tried this when i was 16 (4 years ago) And the lady said no permit. I took the written test and passed, just never had a bike small enough for me to take the driving portion of the test with.
