WWB finally went up...

The lady at the counter tried to tell her that WWB 38spl, 130gr FMJ was $30/100. She has to be reading the price wrong or something. It should be more like $16-18/100.

sounds about right. Last time I bought WWB in .38special at WalMart it was something like $23/100. That was back in late summer. I don't doubt that with price increases 30 bucks is correct now.

I remember buying 9x19mm WWB for about $18/100 a year or so ago and 38 was cheaper then that. Why have ammo prices gotten to high now? Do the politicians figure if they can't take our guns they'll just make ammo so sky high that we'll not be able to shoot,LOL. :tinfoil:

I even noticed that brass has gone up. Remington 38spl from Midway is going to run just under $16/100 so it'll be more like $10 bucks for 50 for me to load and that's casting my own bullet.

I had to run out to WalMart just before and I checked the price on WWB .38's. was just under 30 bucks for a 100 pack.

You are right about the reloading costs. Currently I am using jacketed bullets to reload for .38/.357 and the round come out to about 11 cents based on 1000 rounds.

As soon as Midway gets their once fired 38spl in I'll order 1000 of em'. You can pick em' up for around $60 bucks/1000. Cast my own bullets and all I'll be out is primers and some powder along with a little time.

Lee bottom pour lead pot and Lee bullet mold. Watch out for the hot lead, it'll burn the snott out of ya'. Lee also makes a sizer die that you put into your reloading press to size the bullets after they've been pan lubed.
