I recieved my first C&R gun a numbers matching hex reciever mosin 91/30 from aim and while I was cleaning the cosmoline off I managed to remove some of the original finish. So removed the rest of the finish with out removing any of the amory marks and stained it using a red mahogany stain and urathane. I think it came out really good!!

thank you...i would have prefered to have the original finish but......

I did keep all of the original marking as I removed the finish all with a 0000 steel wool and achohol. I'm also really glad that the wood was pretty and not repaired like alot of the mosins

well it's one of the $79 hex receiver models I also added the $10 hand pick fee...this one is stamped with a manf. date of 1918 so it is an old one.
