Yup,I picked me up a new RIA today, and its definately not a 1911,kinda plastic like on the bottom.I just got a pretty good deal on this Tanfoglio MAPP1 in 9mm,seems pretty well made, had to clean the gunk out of the mags, but thats OK.Now all I have to do is take it to the range and give her a try.Anybody have much experience with the Tanfoglios of the world.Sure isnt much info on them,of coarse I could be looking in the wrong areas.

Here are the Pictures Or It Didnt Happen.Actually its a Rock Island Armory,I guess they have all manufacturing rights to the Tanfoglio name now,or should I say Armscor

Well I got to the range today and must say this pistol is quite a shooter. No malfunctions at all,and at 11 yards I was able to keep everything in the black(well almost every bullet). It has a very nice single action trigger pull but double action is pretty stiff yet.I fed factory 115 gr Fiochhi and some of my 147gr hand loads. All went well. For the price and value of the RIA I would say its a definate keeper.

looks a lot like my witness p.s. (minus the rail) its made by tanfoglio and imported by eaa. i bought it new a few years back and absolutely love it. never had one ftf or problem of any kind. its a .40 and was $300 new on gunbroker. i think once you shoot it you'll fall in love also. feels fantastic in your hand. i prefer the feel to my xdm .45.

As I have been researching this further, the RIA is the same as the EAA Witness P,now that I know what model of pistol to look for holsters I am finding several makers. The weird part,or should I say coincidental part is they are all made by Tanfolglio, every last one.I wonder why so many different names for the same pistol, pretty confusing when a person is looking for accessories.
