OK I thought it might be time for some off topic jolly-goodness again.

Was cruising around tonight and this popped in my head. What is your favorite song that just makes you feel cool and puts you in a good mood? You know, that song that you can't help but just feel awesome listening to.

The song that made me think of this was Stranglehold by Ted Nugent. That opening riff is just awesome to me.

Like Dave above me, there are many. But a few that pop into my head pretty quickly are:

Radar Love - Golden Earring

Fuel - Metallica (Or the entire "Master Of Puppets" album)

Pretty much anything by The Black Keys (If you like the blues and aren't familiar with them, get familiar)

Life By The Drop - Stevie Ray Vaughan

46 and 2 - Tool

Aenema - Tool

Most of the other stuff by Tool

That's it for now. A lot depends on mood. And poker games require a special playlist.

Tribute - The D

Too many to list, really.

I don't need a song to be cool.

True...but a good one can AMP up the attitude...LOL

A second vote for Radar Love, with the Cream philmore live cut of Crossroads right up there.

About anything by Creedence Clearwater is kewl if you haven't heard it for awhile.

About any Allman Bros is kewl if you haven't heard it for awhile. In Memory of Elizabeth Reed. Statesboro Blues. You Don't Love Me. Leave My Blues at Home.

OK, I'll grant you that. If I really want to "amp it up", I'll plug in the Strat, turn off the lights, and get lost in some 12 bar blues.

Very nice.

Lagerhead, Black Keys are definitely a favorite.

I'll add my favorite "multi-purpose" song is still In the air tonight by Phil Collins. No matter what mood I'm in it works.

I have a sweet sounding Takamine for when the acoustic mood hits me.
