If I remember correctly, Metro Davidson County was going to put a stop to allowing officers to drive their cars home. It was estimated it would save hundreds of thousands of dollars in fuel. They were going to allow them to drive them home if they paid for the honor. Well, turns out Metro does not have the room to park all their cruisers and would have to build parking facilities that would cost way more than the fuel being used. Who's great idea was that?

It was like 7:15am this morning so maybe waiting on bus with his kids even though they are like 13/14.

Anyways I just think its a little odd that he would "patrol" this little road when I can think of 100's of better places.

Hmmm, lets see, girl friend lives on a dead end road out in the middle of nowhere. Trooper lives on said dead end road. Me thinks you should be making friends with this guy as he is a real good line of defense for your girl friend (and possibly you!!) That patrol car in the driveway is a sort of like a burgler alarm, as long as its there, the alarm is set. Nothing wrong with having a cop in the neighborhood, keeps crime down.......
