Today's (Feb 22, 2011) class adds in the Times Free Press provide a chuckle or two. I especially like the Ruger Car Beam, and the Remington rifle somebody wants for a "school project" (!)...

It's old, but $400 isn't bad, and maybe the seller will come down. I like the Times Free Press.

I wouldn't pay $400 for one that age. Not when I could order 1 with my GSSF discount for $425.

I'd offer him $325 :D

I think he's selling a package...

The Ruger, the quantity of four 15-round magazines (not 415 rounds), a scope and a police car light beam.

500 bucks for all.

Or at least that's the only way I can make sense out of any of it. :D

Nah, its not a light, its a CARBINE and he told em what to print on the phone, most likely, with as you said 4 15 round mags.

I bet that Jap rifle is gone.

I bet ammo would be a bear to get.

I might be a nice collector and I bet it has a story behind it.

I know a Face to Face in TN should be legal on something like that but for information. Other then just those little forms people here suggest filling out and keeping, any other concerns anyone would have on something like that. The thing probably would not have any type of readable serial numbers. Pre 68 of course and being a war rifle I bet they were not concerned with that in Japan back then.

Ahhh Shucks... I thought it was an exterior mounted spot-light that would say "Ruger" anywhere I shined it.....Darn, that would have been too cool.:D

I gotta womder about those MRE's, 25 bucks for a case of 12 is pretty good but one never knows just what they mean by civilian as there are so many folks making them anymore. It could be a good deal or could be really cheap and nasty stuff and ready to expire. Someone buy a case and let me know;)
