Given the recent debate regarding open carry, it is appropriate to have a place where members can share their real world experiences in open carrying. Feel free to discuss appropriate gear and how to amicably interact with other individuals.

This thread is not to debate concealed vs open carry. If you are here to criticize open carry, please redirect your thoughts to the appropriate threads here or here.

I call BS. The burritos at chipolte's are far from "great"

I first open carried at Wal Mart, whose corporate policy is pro-OC. It was slightly uneasy the first few times, but after that it feels no different than concealed carry. Just like I'd read, most people don't even notice.

OC'd at Home Depot 2 weeks ago. The lady working the self check out area noticed as I was paying and asked if I was LEO, to which I replied in the negative. Also went to Kroger. Just another day at the grocery.

OC'd last weekend at Home Depot and Lowe's. Ate lunch at the new Chipotle here. Great burrito! It was a good 7 minute walk to Chipotle. Two in my party didn't know I carried, and they didn't even notice it until several minutes after we left.

Gear is a Glock 19 in a SERPA holster.

I call major BS. The burritos from Chipolte's are far from great.

Compared to Moe's :tinfoil:. Looks like I'll have to find a better place.

yeah, moe's is extra sucky. I generally find that the best mexican food is at some hole in the wall no franchised place.

I really dig the burritos @ Swanky's Taco Shop. There is a location in Franklin for you Nashville folks too. I think it is the salsa that really sets it off right (The hot is HOT).

The best burritos I've had come from my kitchen. Custom made to my tastes with care and love. And cleanliness. In fact just about the best everything I've had come from my kitchen. I haven't been able to master a good pizza though. I don't feel too bad, I haven't found a good pizza anywhere in the area. Maybe it's the altitude. I'll keep working on that. Restaurants just aren't my thing. They're a last resort. No, I'm not taking orders.

I feel a Burrito cook-off coming on!

Sounds good. I make a mean ground turkey and black bean burrito and a spicy chicken with black beans and rice burrito.

+1 For Oscars! The fish tacos rock and the super nachos will feed both my hungry daughter and I.

You guys have it all wrong. The best Burritos by far are from Barberitos in Johnson City. :-)
