You can find them NIB for around $120 - $130, and sometimes on sale for as little as $100. I have seen them in pawn shops for $75 to $90 for used guns in great shape (90% or so). My advice, call your local Wal-Mart and ask what they are selling them for new, and go from there.

Solid value. I'd love to see them make one with a 20" barrel and interchangeable chokes. I think it would be a hell of a bush gun! I think the shortest barrel they make like that is a 22".

Same gun would be an H&R Topper. My very first gun was an H&R .410 so I have a soft spot for them. I would like to have a NEF Handi Rifle in either .270 or .308 someday, I hear they are very accurate. The H&R/NEF single shot break action shotguns are of good quality, strong, and as simple as you can get.

Thanks for the input. The fella who has it never showed up. I just figured If I could get it for the right price I would jump all over it but as stated he never showed up. I'll just wait on another deal to come.

I have an H&R 058 Topper 20 guage, which is the same gun. mine also has a 30-30 barrel. I wouldn't get rid of it for anything. For what it is, it's a great gun!!!
