I am missing the pop off impact/dust covers for three of my Magpul magazines.

Does anybody have any lost/damaged magazines but still have some of the covers laying around?

I'm watching this thread. I want to meet the guy that was able to damage a PMAG :)

Have you emailed Magpul? They'll probably just drop some in the mail to you.

I emailed them. They finally emailed me back after two weeks and said "$3.95 + shipping."

I emailed back "How much is shipping?"

I may be waiting another two weeks…

Why didn't you just call? I had the exact same problem a while back, called, and got right through to someone. Granted, I only needed one cover, but they dropped it in a USPS envelope for free and I had it in 3 days.

I have some you can have. I'm in the Williamson county area too. Send me a pm if you want them.

Why is that Mike?

The cover takes pressure off the feed lips when the mag is loaded...

A unique snap-on Impact Cover is included with each magazine. This multi-purpose tool positively locks into place on top of the magazine to prevent debris contamination and maintains feed lip integrity over extended storage periods. This allows the PMAGâ„¢ to be used as pre-loaded ammunition containers for distribution in logistical supply chains. In use the cover may be easily removed with one hand and can assist unloading and disassembly of magazines. The cover includes a field feed lip gauge to check critical dimensions. In addition, the impact cover may snap into place on the bottom of the PMAG for storage.

Saw a video where someone put a round through one,.. and it still functioned... so yeah I want to see what it takes to damage beyond use a P-mag..

and here is a trick to make the covers work easier PMAG IMPACT COVER LANYARD MOD: Rev. (A)

My "lanyards" are about half as long,..only go down to first rib on back of mag easier especially with gloves or cold weather

I damaged one by resting a very hot suppressor on it by accident. I had to clean the melted PMag goo off the suppressor. Suppressor cleaned up great. PMag still works but I doubt the floorplate will come off now. I keep using it.

I didn't think about melting one. That's probably the best way to do it ;)
