Don't have the Marlin, but the Rossi 92 I have is an incredibly fun, practical, and handy gun. Minimal recoil, cheap to shoot, about as compact as you can get, and with .357 Leverlution ammo it works on just about any TN game. The Rossi's you can readily get in the $350-$450 range depending on configuration.

I've really been wanting one of the Marble's tang sights. Anyone have any feedback on those?

I have one in a Rossi 45lc. It works really well.

I set up my Marlin with Ashley Ghost Ring sights, trigger job, and a cross bolt safety eliminator. It is one of my favorite guns and is not for sale.

Used to carry a Winchester SRC .357 (converted from a Winchester 32-20/before Cowboy Action shooting gave us these great lever guns) on patrol as a State Trooper in Flint Michigan in the 60's (the rules were looser then). It was a great patrol rifle, is a great deer rifle, and when I see a squirrel in the woods while deer hunting, I can slip a .38 Special load in it and have squirrel for supper.

This is a gun that many Cowboys shoot. Four in my family shoot 2 SASS matches each month with our .357 Marlin. We load truncated cone bullets for fast feeding and seldom have a malfunction. They come up for sale regularly on the SASS forum and sometimes on the Ocoee Rangers (Cleveland area) forum. Depending on where you live I would look at the local Cowboy club forums to find one.
