Best prices on new Chevrolets in Mid TN?

Can anyone recommend a Chevy dealer in the mid TN area that has good prices and is willing to deal? I've had good luck at Walker and at Jim Reed in the past but that's been a while back. I think I'll be buying my wife a new vehicle in the next couple of months...leaning towards an Equinox or a Traverse (depending on what kind of deals we can get).

Thanks in advance.

I call on most of the GM dealers in Mid State. You might want to check on Stan McNabb or Russell Barnett. Both are a bit south of you but are great people.

The Traverse and Equinox are both hot sellers. I have the GM closed sale and GMAC sale for the area. Unfortunately it is a dealer only auction.

The end of the month is the best time to buy.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into those dealers. The Traverse based on the window sticker is really above what we want to spend but we hope that since we should be able to buy straight out with no financing that will make a big enough difference so that we can afford it...hopefully!

Do your homework on dealer cost. I was at a dealer looking at the $35K Carmaro on the show room floor. He told me it had a $1200.00 markup, I called BS and he showed me the MSO. I couldn't believe it. Although he does get some hold back at the end of the year.

New cars take a huge hit after ther sold. The deal is on current or last years model used on most vehicles.

You'll get a better price if you act like you're going to finance. Dealers get dough for financing you so they'll discount the price a little bit more if you act like you're financing.

At least that is what I've been told. I bet if you walked in with a suitcase full of cash that would get their attention...

Wow...i've heard the markups are way down from what they used to be but that's not leaving a lot of room to haggle.
