Doesn't much matter.

Put an improved cylinder in it (since true cylinder choke hard to find), fine with buckshot/slugs.

Actually, you could shoot either through much tighter chokes, but no real advantage and tighter chokes can even degrade slug accuracy, though HD doesn't suppose very long shots.

I'm assuming this is not a rifled barrel, btw, since I never heard of one in 18".

Thanks OhShoot, didnt think it would matter, but I did plan on useing both buckshot & slugs. I hadnt seen one either, it looks like a turkey barrel I guess. This is it WINCHESTER TACTICAL 1300 1200 CAMO 18" BARREL 12GA : Barrels at GunBroker.com. Thought it might be a cheaper way for me to go and still get the new fishin reel I have been eyeing.

Yeah, cool, stick in a improved cylinder, or just cylinder if one is made for it, whichever, let er rip.
