Can someone with a scale weigh some 5.56 NATO and some 7.62 NATO and post the weights. Not just 1 round, weigh maybe 20 or 30 rounds together.

Thanks.

One round of 5.56 55gr Lake City = 182 grains

One round of 7.62 150 gr FN = 368 grains

Weight taken on a Dillon Precision Electronic Scale

This was the average of over 5 rounds. No matter 20 or 30 it is basically double the weight.

I just realized that extra ammo I carried for the M60 gunner all those years ago added over 10 pounds to my regular load. That Ba@#$%d.

I have the "ARMY AMMUNITION DATA SHEETS, SMALL CALIBER AMMUNITION TECHNICAL MANUAL" if you want it. If interested, PM me and I'll email it to you.
