What next? I have all the handguns I ever wanted. Did I leave one out?

I'm having handgun withdrawals. Is there a 12 step program for what I got? I just about have enough money to buy a new handgun but I just don't have any burning desire. I want an old school Smith and Wesson revolver but they are so over priced, maybe I should learn to shoot the pistols I have.......

1) Colt Government 1991A SS 45acp

2) Springfield XD-45 45acp

3) Glock 36 45acp

4) Springfield XDm-40 40s&w

5) Glock 19 9mm

6) Diamondback DB380 .380

7) Ruger Mark III Hunter 22lr

8) Ruger MarK II Bull Barrel 22lr

9) Ruger GP-100 4" SS .357

10) S&W M-36 3" Nickle 38sp

11) Ruger Bisley Vaquero .357

12) Ruger Single Six 9.5" blued 22lr

13) Ruger Single Six 6.5" SS 22lr

I like this idea best. Although I have little doubt you know how to shoot what you have, we could all improve.

I have less than half that many handguns and freely admit that I want a lot more. BUT...I've decided to spend most of my gun money on improving me and my skills. A recent IDPA intro convinced me I needed that more than new guns. YMMV

how bout a little out of the norm

detonics combatmaster or a S&W chefs special auto

Detonics--man I haven't thought about those in quite a while. Always wanted one when they were featured in Jerry Ahern's Survivalist series of books, but I couldn't afford them back then. Don't think I've seen one in years.

*I'm with you on the training. This is a new hobby for me (2.5 years) and I've vowed no more guns until I get more training. I've got my 3rd handgun class scheduled next week and next will be a defensive shotgun or carbine class (whichever I can fit it into my schedule). As for handguns, you don't have a 10mm... Me, I still don't own a revolver. I'm waiting on the right 686 or GP100 to catch my eye....

You're waaaaaay light on revolvers. Theres the k frame smiths, the N frames, and everyone should have some Colt SAAs. I have an itch for a Smith and Wesson 39-2, and as money permits, a model 52. I'm always on the lookout for old N frame revolvers as well. I'd also recommend to everyone to get a GSG 1911 22LR. I've had a ball with mine. Probably the best $300 I've ever spent.

Beretta 92FS. CZ 75 of some model.

For something real different maybe a Kel Tec PLR-16?

Sometime down the line I might get a Beretta or Stoeger Cougar or a Beretta PX4. Got enough ways to waste ammo for the present.

SIG P220 or something. Also look at the HK lineup, like the USP .45 Tactical. I'd second the SP-101 vote too. I'm in a similar shape, but putting most of my money into ammo, competing, and maybe a Dillon reloader.

Are they as modular as .45 1911s? I've been interested in doing some home fitting of parts to my own 1911, but the risk of damaging it is steep...if the parts are interchangeable with .45 1911s (or nearly so), I need one of these for the sake of tinkering.
