Red Dot Sights

Recommended Posts

So I bought a Smith model 22a. Thinking I might want to put a red dot sight on it for playing. I quickly see they start around $40 and go well past $300! Somebody give me the scoop on them. Ones that work, ones that suck, etc.

I bought an NC Star reflex type on Amazon for $30 (and free shipping). I put it on my model 41 and have had it to the range once. Worked great. It has a lifetime warranty.... if it ever goes tango uniform, send it and $10 and get a new/refurbished one! I figured I couldn't loose with that deal. Only time will tell if it lasts.

I bought a BSA red dot from Midway for $60 (I think) It has seven different sight patterns. a cross, a circle with a dot in it, a cross woth a circle in it, yada yada. The only one I use is the red dot. I works great! Better than a "laser" and I can focus my eyes on it without my glasses. Just remember all you need is a red dot you don't need a lot of extras.
