I didn't realize BP had such good pricing on Winchester WB .40. 10% off 15.99 is better than WalMart ever thought about having.

edited: NM i thought both those boxes were 100pk but the .40 was only 50.

A lot of the ammo I saw at BP was quite a bit higher than Academy Sports. Thanks for the heads up though, I'll check it out next time I'm in Nashville.

I don't know how thier prices compare but they are having a 10% off sale on all ammo. It's listed in thier ad this week.

I bought a UMC mega pack of the 9mm recently at BPS, not real thrilled with that stuff. Shot 3 trays (of the 5 trays in the box ) and had 7....count 'em 7 ftf. All had an indent on the primer but nothing. Maybe a crappy lot or something but 7 out of 150 seems to be a high rate of failure. Good thing it's just range ammo and not for defense.

Hmm... That's the first I've heard of UMC being problematic. I put 2 packs (500rd) of it to break in my XD, and didn't have a hiccup. My XD even has a lighter striker spring installed, which would have accentuated any problems with hard primers.

What kind of gun was it? Does it work flawlessly with other ammo?

It was my cheapo Sigma 9mm and yes, every other ammo I have ever fired in it has worked just fine. Like I said probably just a bad lot...it does seem weird that I would have 7 in 150 rounds. When I fire off the last 100 I'll post if that happens again. Go figure...the stuff was new I have had it less than 3 weeks, has been stored in it's box and tucked into a .50 cal ammo can. When I brought it to the range the carton had never been opened and was factory sealed. Who knows....I thought maybe the gun but as I said it has never failed to fire anything at all.
