C&R Forms

If I understand correctly, I can not print the pdf c&r forms and fill them out? I must order these forms from the ATF office??? Sorry if this has been addressed before, I just wanta get it right the 1st go around

Yes, I'm pretty sure you have to order them. The application isn't the only form you fill out, I believe there are one or two others that have to be submitted along with it, and they come with the C&R forms from the ATF.

You do have to order them. Something about the special green paper they are printed on. OK, I'm kidding about the green paper but you do have to use the ATF form - no downloading the PDF to save time. The government employee that mails out the forms must need job security.

Here is a link to the ATF web site. ATF Online - Forms - ATF F 5310.16 Instructions You CAN down load the forms and print them out on white paper. It says that you can do that. I have saved the PDF file and filled it out. But my printer is out of black ink. gearyr

Cool - that is a new thing. When I got my C&R, you had to use the actual paper form from the ATF.

I just downloaded the forms and filled them out , no problem, called the local ATF office to be sure it was ok.

The info on the ATF site is confusing. Do I get the CLEO to sign my form and send it to them myself or is he supposed to send it to them from his office separately? Inquiring minds want to know.

No you give them a copy of your form. if you ordered the forms it is the second 2 green pages that you leave with them.

I suggest you order them. They told me also that you could print them off, fill them out and mail them in. After 60 days they denied my application saying I had to use the original green ATF forms. They then didnt even bother to send the correct forms with the denial letter. You may have better luck, but that was my experience with using the printed off forms.

Got my forms mailed and now I'm watching the mailbox...I do believe my 1st purchase will be a CZ 82 or PA64...local shop has some nice lookin' CZ for 216.00

Mine took less than a week to get the forms.

yep, mine arrived sometime earlier this week. Now for the fun part!
