I love the Pachmayr American Legend grips. How do your other finger grips (like the ones on your commander) stack up? Any better...or worse?

(side note) Are they all Springfields? Overall, nice collection!

I have the same finger groove grips on a couple of 1911's. One is a full size and the other is a compact. I really like the grips because it helps me maintain a decent hold. It also helps tame the compacts recoil.

I like the looks of the grips...but they are too soft for my liking...they are currently off the weapon and filled with "window weld" RTV, so the ridges aren't so soft and collapse. I love the Hogue grips for that reason.

Not all are Springers...there is a Taurus, MetroArms, and Para mixed in I think.

Spoolie, what are your feelings on the metro arms commander? I'm interested in these because of their price point but know nothing about their QC or who even makes them?

I would change the barrel bushing, magazines, sights, grips, sear, disconnect, and trigger. After that it is a excellent weapon.
