Where's the shoot outs?

I think it has been a few years since Heller was ruled on by SCOTUS and I've been waiting for the mass killings and shoot outs in DC. I figured since guns were suddenly legal we'd have all kinds of carnage. Hasn't happened.

See for yourself

I think this should be reassuring to the anti gun types. Making guns more legal doesn't make the streets less safe. I think it should also really reassure the antigun types that poor people (read that as minorities) won't suddenly be buying alot of legal guns. Cause that is what teh gun control people are really after, no one cares if fat uncle jim bob has a shotgun, they are worried about that guy with a crooked hat and a gold grill with a weapon.

SAd that the people in the most crime ridden neighborhoods are the folks without the money to protect themselves legally.

I think the whole deal is a disgrace, but at least they have made a slight shuffle of foot in the right direction. The biggest thing that suprised me was that there were no stores in DC. The only way to purchase a handgun was through that one dude charging $125 for a transfer!! That made me do a double take.

So, they basically handled it like Chicago. Find other ways to prohibit guns.
