just to clarify guys whatever i buy will be new..i try and buy all my cheaper guns new because in most cases buying a cheaper gun used your really not saving all that much money..after the reviews ive been reading ive found that both have had alot of trouble in the earlier production line but they seem to be a really good buy now..at the moment im really leaning towards the 2-tone sig mosquito.. but keep any insight you might have coming!!

Sig Mosquito .22LR 2-tone SHIPS FREE

i got a chance to handle one the other day and admittedly it sure doesnt feel like a "real" sig but then again its far from an airsoft gun.

the walther was also nice but its just seems to be a little over the top design wise..im not a huge fan of the whole "space age" look.. also from reading here sounds like it would be hard to break down, clean, and reassemble and with this being a first pistol thats the absolute last thing i want..

thanks for all the help so far guys and lets hear some more!!

the walther is easy to break down (slide the take down lever down and remove the slide) and clean...putting it back together the first few times can be a "learning process" but I can have mine back together now in less than 1 minute with out any tools (nothing like the other 22's). To put back together you just put the spring on the rod and push through the slide commpressing the spring, you then hold the rod and put the slide on, then release the rod. To each there own get what you are comfortable with, but dont rule it out because of that.

Also it is recommended to break in the p22 for 500 rounds of CCI Mini mags after that it will shoot anything. I didn't have any problems with my 2 out of the box (with any ammo) but other have. like i said most problems with the P22 came from the mags which they have now changed and they work much much better now (so buy new and make sure it's not old stock with the old style mags).

The good thing about the 500 round break in is it is still cheaper than 1 box of 50 45acp bullets. Just look at it as extra range time besides I would recommend you to shoot alot anyway with this being your first pistol and if you do have any problems you can use it to practice clearing malfunctions.

Josh123,

You won't go wrong with the P22. Not sure about the Sig. They had problems at one time, but they may be fixed now. I don't think they have sold as many as Walther. Lots of p22's out there.

Sounds like you have made up your mind. Get the Sig, it's your dime.
