I took my new 228 out to G&L today to see how it handled. I loved it. I love my 226 so I though I would like this. Of course it functioned flawlessly w/the 300 or so rds I ran through it. It grouped really well. I was shooting a bit low, but I think that is me getting used to the different sights on this thing. They have a lollipop look to them with a straight line on the rear and a white dot up front. I like it a whole lot and am fortunate to have found a new one seeing how they don't make them anymore.

fyi if you didnt already notice your 226 mags will fit this gun albeit they will stick out a bit.

True however if you jam the mag in too hard, it might cause a jam. Fine for range use but I wouldn't want to rely on that for SD use.

228's are great weapons

Yes. I bought one used years ago (maybe had a trigger job done on it?) and it is very sweet to shoot.
