To the OP: While I agree with your reaction that that thing is stupid and especially since it's a Colt, your reaction is a bit late, as that thing has been on Colt's website for a few years now.

I don't understand. Can somebody point out what is so shocking?

What's shocking? You can't be serious, man. Would anyone Paint the White House green? Would someone put a miniskirt on the Statue of Liberty? Is nothing sacred anymore? A DAO 1911? We really are living in the End Times. That can only be a sign of the Apocalypse.

This looks to be a much better execution of the idea.

That wouldn't take too much effort to be better than the Double Eagle.

i have a seacamp 1911 it is a colt reworked by seacamp

Yours says Colt?

Most of them were not Colt slides, but were old Essex or Viking slides. I would think a Colt slide reworked Seecamp would be a rare item, if actually done by them. I'd like to see a pic of that if you have one. They were certainly a neat idea, but horrendous in reality. Most the da triggers were just awful IMO.

What is a 'DOA'? And why shouldn't they be on a 1911?
