Hi all - Been a few days since i've been on the board, my wife gave birth to our first child....

Here name is Addisyn and she was 7lb 6oz and 19 1/2 inches long...

Anyways, sorry for the shameless plug

I am looking into going to the Gun show in Nashville (Bill Goodmans, Gun and Knife Show) Never been, looking to buy a new handgun as a baby gift (for myself of course) How reasonable of deals can I expect and anything else you guys may know about the show..

Think of the gun as an investment to counter the expense of the diapers, formula, pediatrician, birthday parties, sports uniforms, party dresses, prom dresses, designer jeans, cars, car repairs, etc. etc.........

The Goodman show is good not great. In all honesty, I've found better deals from the dealers that sponser this site.

If you do go, I'd recommend Wayne Mann. He's normally first table near the door. His prices are about the best.

Honestly Academy Sports in Franklin has had better prices on handguns than the gun shows do. My b-in-law did get a ruger p944 at the last one but could have gotten the same price or maybe a little cheaper. Wayne Mann is who he bought it from.

Congrats on a beautiful girl. Had a grand-daughter two weeks ago and they don't get any prettier!!! Her father's active duty headed for Iraq in about 3 weeks, but at least he was around for the birth. Enjoy while you can, they grow up too fast!

Congrats on the baby! The show was alright...lots of guns to look at and I saw a few decent deals, but nothing spectacular. The highlight of the show for me was picking up 1000 rds. of 7.62 and a few little odds and ends for my Saiga and XD for cheaper than I could find on Ebay.
