.223/5.56...sub-sonic or regular ammo?

Recommended Posts

I'm now starting the long wait for my suppressor stamp and i'm trying to figure out which ammo to shoot out of it when i get my stamp back! I have been trying to read up on the internet a little but it looks like subsonic ammo is hard to come by...unless you load your own...so what i'm asking is how much quieter would it be if used sub-sonic versus regular ammo?

Thanks for the input guys i'm totally new to the class 3 game...

well, to me the"noise" part all depends on where you a shooting. if you are shooting in a large open area like big flat river bottom area. standard ammo is very quiet you do even notice it breaking sound barrier. but if you are in the woods or hilly area it will seem loud, but no hearing protection is needed.

the sub sonic loads are quite anywhere, but do not cycle my ar.
