Hogs Gone Wild

Recommended Posts

A new series on Discovery Channel? Sorry if I am late to the game, but I didn't remember any threads on this show. I am watching it now. The two trappers in Florida are trying to catch a 400 boar. First they tried with one catch dog. WRONG. Then they got two bay dogs and caught it, but they couldn't tie it. They ended up knifing it. They looked like a couple of morons, definitely not experienced hog dog hunters. Still makes better TV than Desperate Housewives.

It was an OK show. I thought it was a little cruel letting the dogs chew up the hogs and then trying to knife the pig. I turned it off. I'm alergic to "dumb***s".

These guys were definitely eat up with it too. I have been on hog hunts with dogs and it is exciting, but they just didn't know what they were doing. I guess it could be considered cruel, but more often the dogs and hunters get their full dose of cruelty back from the hog. Hog dogging is an addictive adrenaline rush that isn't like much else you can do in the states. Maybe black bear wrestling would top it.

Yeah, I think jumping on the back of an aggitated hawg, and then trying to stab it to death, is strictly for tards.

My Pappy didn't raise no fool...he'll die quickly...from afar.

Rambo...where art thou? :dirty::cool:

when I lived in Fla. we had a hunt lease at a place called Triple R Ranch and we could only hut hogs with dogs and knives . but we had it together ( Sometimes ) we would let the dogs Conner the hog and one man would grab the hog by his hind legs and lift them and another man grab his ears and knee it in the shoulder to put it down and cut its throat , and always someone would come away with scars.
