Last time I was in TN Gun Country in Clarksville the DPMS was $114 for a Spikes Tactical, $120 for a Yankee Hill, $117 for a Del-Ton, $120 for a Stag, $125 for a DPMS and $150 for a Sun Devil. They stick it to you on the LPK though, I think it was around $80 and then you still have to get the buffer tube and buffer. Back in January 2009 I bent over and took it when I bought my DPMS stripped lower for $250.

Y'all are talking about 2 different things. Jeff was quoting complete lowers... not stripped.

EDIT: BTW... is probably a good thing that prices are down. I may buy a couple, probably stripped. The gun industry needs to buy Barry a really nice flower arrangement. He deserves it.

BTW, if you use their custon shop that same aero lower that cost $180 is $160. their custon shop prices are cheaper than off the shelf at the same place that goe for pretty much any of their lowers

I wish my DPMS was 210 when I got my AR Lower. Gives me a new reason to build another AR though, don't you just like it when new opportunities present there self for new guns. Now days 20 bucks difference is like 100 bucks need to save all I can when I can.

as i said before you'll save another $20 by making it custom. I just did that DPMS lower through their custom shop and with the dpms parts, m4 stock, and standard grip it came out to $190. I ordered a YHM stripped upper from them in nov. they said they where out of stock after I ordered so they sent me the Mega machines upper instead (more$) with no up charge. So they did good by me

The most I've paid for a stripped lower was $114.95 for a DPMS a few years back. Lowers are being made in high enough bulk, and people are starting to realize that a mil-spec lower is a mil-spec lower. Forgers like Aero Precision, LAR, etc do most of the AR-market. For the most part, tomatoe tomato when it come to lowers. The Surplus Arms & Ammo/Aero Precision/Spike's are pretty good deals these days. They're all made by Aero Precision, AFAIK.

The Obama/democratic congress gun ban paranoia has died down.

As a result the mass buys of ammo and AR parts have slowed down and now there are many more on the market, so the price has dropped.

Supply and demand.

When the next democratic congress is elected, the prices will go back up because the supplies will go back down.
