I hope that Knoxville area reloaders are going to the Gun Show at Chilhowee Park because there is a reloading dealer there who is selling CCI small pistol primers -- 5000 of them for $99!! That is nothing short of fabulous!! I didn't get there until 3pm today and he still had lots to sell. I know that this is making other dealers foam at the mouth, but I've never seen primers at this price in several years! By all means, CHECK IT OUT!!

They were that price at the knob creek show in the fall. I plan on getting a few then. Show here in mid TN today was same as usual 30-35 per k but I wish I would have bought more when I bought mine.

I wonder if he's the guy that usually sets up at the Knoxville shows? I hope he's back at future shows. A month or so ago I bought 5000 from Graf and Son.... about $150 with a $10 hazmat fee (special deal). These were Federal primers. Should last me a while. I've seen some gun shops charging as much as $47.50/1000. Getting a little steep!

How about wolf primers at $15-$16 per K. Any experience with them?

Is that another gun show deal? If not, where do you find 'em at that price?

I went to the show this afternoon and purchased a case of these...thanks for the heads up!

As you probably know after opening the box they are marked "non plated" "not for resale" "OEM" etc etc. Are these any different than off the shelf CCI primers?

thanks.

Wolf primers are good. Some people seem to have problems with them because they don't seat them far enough to set the anvil. Wolf primers tend to be slightly bigger than most and take a bit more force to fully seat. I started buying Wolf primers during the shortage and haven't had a problem yet.
