I prefer Trijicons, but I am open to suggestions. If you are in the Memphis area please suggest a store that has them in stock.

I put the Ameriglo on my G30. The tritium tubes are installed by Trijicon and the sights are marked that way.

can you please explain this? Trijicon makes the sights for Ameriglo? How do you like them, and which set did you order? I was looking at the classic set

I got the classic. The sights are made by Ameriglo. Once machined the y are sent out to trijicon to have the tubes installed then sent back for packaging.

My understanding is very few people have the licensing to handle tritium.

Thanks for the replies. I will look into the Ameriglo sights. The wife has decided to get a carry permit so she may be taking the g26 or g19 which means that I will start carrying the g30 or M&P9mm.

I have Trijicon GL-01s on four of my .40 & 9mm Glocks and swear by them. I recommend GL04s which are the .45 & 10mm size. Sorry I can't speak to what store stocks them out your way on the west side.

I installed a set of XS big dot sights on my Glock 23. I wasn't sure I would like them but I shoot better with them, even out to 25 yards, than any other sights I have used. I pick up the sights faster and shoot more accurately with them. I like them enough that as funds permit, I will be installing them on my two 1911's and Glock 35.

terrible warranty though if you have a problem. That's the only reason I won't buy them.

As your avatar said in another movie (to paraphrase) "I can take a dump in a box and put a guarantee on it...". I'm not familiar with TFO failure stories; mine have been great, but I might be lucky. My experience with TFOs has been entirely positive, and I haven't needed any warranty service.

If there are potential issues with the sights I've installed on my nightstand gun, please let me know. I have to be able to rely on it if the time ever comes; please give details, links, etc. if you have a minute. Like I said, I might be one of the lucky ones. Based entirely on my own experience, however, they're an excellent upgrade over the 3-dot sights that come from most mfgs.

Watch and buy the ones on sale. It dont matter, Trijicon, Truglo, Meprolight, XS. On a handlgun they all work

the same. I've got both trijicons, champion and meprolight. They all work well. Dont worry about "warranty" issues.

What R1000 said about the licensing issue is why there are only one or two "real" suppliers of tritium vials.

Somebody (...like Trijicon or Meprolight...) encapsulates the tritium in the little vials, the sight guys just machine the sights and insert the vials.

Hope this helps

Our Glock 22 duty guns have TruGlo nite sights, haven't heard of any problems with any of 'em.

I have Trijicon on my XDM. Wouldn't turn around for the difference.

Everybody has a horror story on any brand.
