I want to kill at least one of everything that walks, crawls, flies, slithers or swims. I have killed most small varmints (crows, turkeys, coons, possoms, groundhogs, prarie dogs, jack rabbits, skunk, porcupine, armadillo etc.) and a boxcar load of whitetails and a pretty nice pronghorn. Since really getting into predator calling I have killed numerous coyotes, foxes and a few bobcats. My short list of things I really really want to kill would be mountain lion, wolf, bear and alligator. You know all the stuff on this continent that could stand a chance of killing you back.

BigJ I've got a friend that killed a Mtn. Lion a couple years ago up in Maine I think it was. That thing was huge, IIRC it weighed like 268lbs. He's got a picture of he and it. He is holding it up with his arms wrapped around under its front legs, its almost as long as is tall, and the head is just as big as his.

He had it mounted lying down and got it on a shelf like thing on one side of the fireplace looking down on the livingroom. Looks cools as hell.

Marco Polo Argali. Why? Because it's hard and not everyone has the physical fortitude to do it. And because they are just dang cool looking animals.[/quote

Yes, one of those would be an awesome trophy. Actually I didn't know what it was til I google it.

Probably have a better chance at a Bighorn Sheep which looks simlar, not nearly as big, but probably never get the chance to hunt those either.

There are two ways of getting a Big Horn, buying an available tag, which several will be auctioned at the Wild Sheep Foundation show in two weeks. That will cost $35-50k more than likely. Or you can try and draw a tag, which will itself likely cost thousands and quite a few years if you ever pull one, then have to ire a hire a guide. Unless you know the area very, very well.

The argalis are usually cheaper, or historically have been. You just have to go to some rather unstable parts of the near east to get them. Same can be said for Africa. You can hut many things in Africa much cheaper than a lot of hunts here. You just have to know where to go and who to talk to to get them.

I pretty much like to hunt things that are difficult to hunt. I don't much like sitting in a stand, though I do it on occasion. But I like spot and stalk, mountain terrain, even for high country birds, the harder the better. And like one other person said, I love to hunt things that will come after you given the chance.

Don't forget moose. They can be mighty nasty. And if you ever have the chance while hunting moose or caribou, seek out that nasty little beast the wolverine. Very nasty animal and they will come after you with great abandon if given the chance.

Oh yeah I would love to kill a wolverine and even a badger. Once a few years ago while night hunting in Tx I had a chance to kill a badger but it was interrupted by a rather large bobcat that now resides in my living room. Going back out there next week to hunt pigs, coyote, bobcat etc. maybe I'll get another chance.

A trophy wild boar. Has to be pure black, between 250 and 275 pounds and have 3+ inches of tusk.

I'm looking at a Trophy Boar hunt on the other side of Nashville. 3 day 2 night hunt $700. let me know if you are interested. May time-frame

Aoudad (Barbary Sheep) in South Texas, spot & stalk with my longbow. That's second on my list, but hopefully the first I'll actually get to do.

Number 1, top of the tree, all time, dream trophy would be a West African, Red River Hog. Coolest looking hog on the planet & one of the 2 species I need to complete the Traditional 'Ham Slam' (Feral Hog, Javelina, European Boar, Warthog, Bushpig, Red River Hog) with a longbow.

I want to kill a hog. Actually, several hogs.

The Black Warrior WMA is having their yearly special feral swine hunt on the WMA March 1-14, so I'll be out there this Friday (9/80 day off) and Saturday with some people from work.
