Public/Emergency Service and Conceal Carry (Fire, EMS, etc)

How many of you are part of some kind of emergency service and have your conceal carry? And then how do you deal with carrying? For example I am a volunteer fireman and medical first responder. When I go on medical calls I don't take my gun off. When I go on a fire call I have a holster in my truck I put it in and lock up my truck or if leaving from home I leave it there.

I'm a Firefighter and we are not allowed to have a gun on Metro property so that solves that problem.

Paramedic here. There is no law stating that we cannot carry, but most departments policies prohibit carry while on duty.

I seem to be one of the lucky ones whose departments do not restrict our carrying as long as it is concealed.

Emergency Management - no guns allowed on metro communication center property unless you are a law enforcement officer.

I work for a DoD contractor of Federal Property so I don't carry....but some of our guys work PT elsewhere and I have heard a few that carry while on the ambulance.
