Monarch ammo?

I thought I would give this stuff a try even though the price difference with it and my regular stuff was only about $1. I bought 50 rounds of 9mm luger and 50 rounds of .380 acp. Now, the 9mm rounds seemed to shoot pretty clean, but they had about half the power of standard winchester rounds. I had several jams with the monarch 9mm. On my .380 the same thing happened with the power of the rounds. It was about half the power of anything else I have shot through it. It was also very dirty shooting ammo. It left quite a bit of grains all on the inside of my gun and magazine. Just thought I would throw out my experiences with this ammo. Anybody else try it?

I've shot quite a bit of Monarch in my AK and it works great in that weapon. Not the cleanes stuff but goes bang every time and decent accuracy. I don't plan on using any of it for pistols or any other long guns. Like I said, If you have an AK it should go bang and cycle just fine. Sounds like the pistol ammo is under powered and with the problems you've had, I would be reluctant to shoot it in those guns. Hope this helps.

I don't have an AK, but one is on my future list:D. I'm not going to use it anymore. It did shoot everytime, but is very dirty and underpowered. I just thought I would see if anybody else had used it. Thanks for the input.
