S. 2483 and the Coburn Amendment 3967

An amendment to S.2483 in the U.S. Senate has been attached by Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma. This amendment would authorize by law the right to carry firearms on Federal Lands (National Parks) rather than by just changing the rules set down by the Dept. of Interior which the 47 Senators requested a month or so ago.

I called Sen. Alexander and Sen. Corker and requested they support this amendment when the bill is brought up for a vote and urge everyone who feels the same to do the same. If this can be done at all it should be done now before the next election. This may be our last chance to see this happen.
