Any good deals on ammo at gun show

I am looking for some 5.56 ammo. I have not looked for it at the gun shows. What are the chances of finding a good deal this weekend in Knoxville. Are they still over priced because of the ammo scare?

Nobody beats the Walmart Tula, if that's the type .223 you mean.

When Georgia Arms comes, they have some special .223 loads like softpoints and heavier bullets that are probably in same price range as on line, maybe a little better.

If you really want 5.56 as opposed to .223, I've not seen any quantity deals at the gun shows at all.

If you aren't going to reload then look at Walmart for plinking ammo. The Tula, as mentioned by OhShoot, is about the best deal there is on 223. Out of a 16" AR it runs about 2850 fps, not bad but not that great either. I works great in my AR but others have reported issues. Before buying a bunch I would try a few boxes.

Here are some online resources for finding the best ammunition prices from around the web:

Thats about all I have shot is the Tula brand. I would like to get some military surplus 5.56 and see if there is a difference.
