Is it new or used. May be a little on the high side. Check out gun broker, you will see prices from 450 to 550. Are you buying it from a shop or an individual

Yes, by at least a $100. Come to Knoxville and I'll hook you up with one for $450. I have two 4" and one 6" that i have aquired over the past few years.

I would keep looking. You should not have to much trouble finding one for a bit less. The only ones going that high are the limited edition 5"barreled ones from Davidsons.

It's a little high BUT. I know people who will spend hours looking to save a few dollars on a pistol and then driving for two hours to pick it up. Sometimes it is actually cheaper to pay a little more for the pistol while you are standing in front of it, than to spend all that time and money trying to save a few bucks. I really like my GP-100 4" SS Hogue monogrip. It is my car gun/woods gun. I carry two speed loaders with it. I keep Black Hills 125gr JHPs in it. 625 ft/lbs at the muzzle.

The two places I know of around here that you can find an "amazing" deal at times, is the Bill Goodman Gun Show at the Fairgrounds in Nashville, and the Middle TN Expo in Murfreesboro. I got my Sig P250 at the Expo for $350.00 (new), which was about $150.00 less than I had seen anywhere else. So I jumped on it.

But gas is up around $3.00 a gallon right now. I filled up the other day for just over $40 bucks. So if you are going to blow a tank of gas driving around looking for a $50 dollar savings, then I'd just as soon save myself the time and gas and spend that money on the gun. A $100 dollar savings? I guess you have to consider it. Anything over $100 dollars in savings is probably worth looking for the bargain. But ultimately it comes down to how much your time is worth and how much you will spend on gas.

Someone posted a link to an internet sale, and that is always a great way to find a bargain without wasting much of your valued time or gas... but there are inherent problems when dealing with internet sales. That's not to say there aren't perfectly reputable and quality internet dealers, and I have no experience with the one that was listed, so i have nothing bad to say about them. The poster that provided the link said he had dealt with them and they are legit, so that's good. At least you have a reference point and a person willing to stand up and vouch for the dealer. But I would just say, if you are going to go the internet route, try and find some people that have dealt with that particular dealer and can attest to their quality and service.
