Is anyone else tired of winter/snow?

As I write this it looks like a blizzard outside. I am tired of the cold and snow. I don't know how people up north do it. I couldn't stand living where it snows every other day. I don't have any problems driving in it and the first couple snows were ok, but now I'm just ready for warm weather.

This is more like it.:)

What Snow, I just got up in Oak Ridge TN, still rain here :)

Bring the Snow.

I am only allowed a few hours of OT a few and after that I have to get approval. I have already done half of my OT this week and going to get the rest this morning and if others call out I may be able to get more. I love SNOW

tired of the snow....the DUH statement of the week

My main problem with the snow is that it is preventing me from riding my motorcycle. I don't mind the cold, but two wheels and slick roads just don't mix.

No, but I have a 4wd truck that makes it a joy to drive (and play in.. hehe) and I'm going on a cruise to the Turks and Caicos islands in March, so if it snows every day until then, I really wouldn't care. ;)

I like snow, I wish we would get more of it when we get it. 3-4" is fun for a little while, but I want a big one, like over 8". I could use some sunshine though. Glad to see it today. As I said, I like snow, I hate the transition period where it is cold, but not cold enough to snow and we get a cold rain. Get cold, get snow, or get warm.

I wish it would snow a foot and not this little one or two inches stuff. I love winter time. To hell with the heat of summer.

Snow is fine. This cold, overcast, rainy, icy crap has got to go.

And I'm also suffering from PMS... Parked Motorcycle Syndrome.

I like actually having something approaching a real East Tennessee winter, for a change. We used to get snow more often when I was a kid in the 1970s than we have gotten for the last, several years and I have enjoyed things being more along the lines of what I think of as a 'normal' Winter.

I have to admit, however, that I have been feeling like I am about to have withdrawal symptoms due to not being able to shoot outside very much. My nephew and I broke out the .22s at my sister's house last Saturday, though, and that has taken care of my needed 'fix' for the time being.

Well I got all 8 of my hours of OT this week. I still have 24 regular hours to work, however they did not approve me to work any more OT. Only 48 hours this week.

(trying to get as much as I can as we know there is something going to change this summer and we do not know how it will affect us, may be good, neutral or bad). So I am trying to rack it up while I can, pad the saving, 401k, stock options and visit my doctor and get everything in order. In short, stay prepared. If it is neutral to good, then I am just that much better off.

Not me. Summer is too too hot here, and 1) you take off too much clothing and you get arrested and 2) if you take that much off, you get a sunburn to boot, or have to wear stinky, slimy/greasy lotion. In the winter, I can keep putting on more clothes all day, there is no legal limit, and even I have to work hard at it to get a burn. Granted, I could stand fall/spring all year long, but give me winter, even snow, over 100 degree heat anytime.

The people up north do it by moving to florida, of course, but thats another story for another day.

I'm actually enjoying the snow. What I'm not enjoying is the amount of brine that TDOT and the various local governments feel they need to spray all over the damn place every time it might snow an inch or two, or the people who can't drive on it because they don't understand the concept of reduced traction due to adverse weather conditions.

If you fix those two problems, it can snow all it wants and I'll be as happy as a clam.

I just wrote a check for $1,200 for the deposit on a rental house in Key West for this summer but somehow that doesn't make me feel any better or warmer. :)

I'm actually tired of it, but it's moreso of a "this is messing up my work schedule, costing me money, and at the same time is saturating my cars with salt-garbage, which will take a f'ing century to clean." I actually LIKE snow - it's alot of fun, and pretty to look at.

That's how I feel about it. :)

:Dlived in a snow climate in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for some 40 years,I got tired of walking to school in waist deep snow, uphill both ways with a 50 mile an hour north wind in my face, well some of this sentence is a little overexaggerated, mostly the wind part.:rolleyes:the snow down here is a major pain just because a lot of people dont know how to drive in it.it could all dissappear for another year now.
