What type of zombie slayer are you? If the outbreak happened and you were ready to go would you....

A) Bait the zombies? (give some explanation of entire situation)

:) Run and gun (carry options? Preferences?)

C) Fall back, shooting all the way to safety (if there is a such place!)

D) Post up where your at and ride it out?

Let a hear it...

Personally, I would like to bait them...picking them off from a distance. High power, sniper rifles are Not made for CQB anyways, so why not have some fun.

I would then move onto option B till I realized I'm an idiot then option C followed by D....however, I'm a big guy..winded easily, doubt I would make it past B

It is hard to know until it happens. I suspect most likely allot of us would be caught up in B. Some of C until we got to D.

After we get to out safe D location. I am sure after we have our D location set, it would not be a bad idea to go hunting away from camp, we we would not want to attract any attention to our own camp's location.

I see a combination of B, C, D, however I don't see baiting them to much.

Your right vontar, A is not a good option. At least not a starting option? Maybe a hunting tactic, used well away from camp as you mentioned. As Fu as it sounds, not too practical. Good call

I'm too old and slow to run and carry enough ammo and guns. So...I'll just sit it out here at home, board up the windows and pop anything within range. I think I got enough rounds to last a few days. Hehehe.

Don't under estimate a .22 headshot on a zombie. You can carry allot more ammo and it is just as effective in range..

Definitely A. Use some of the most vocal anti-gunners as bait. They would be seriously rethinking their stance when tied to a post and surrounded by flesh eaters. Of course if the old adage of "no brain, no pain" is true, they have nothing to worry about.

Lol. Yes.

Honestly for me it would be some combination of all of the above. Start with B. Move to C. Get to D. Get uncomfortable and do what Lagerhead suggested for A.

First, I need to say that Tannerite is LEGAL!!! Its used for long range shooting. I use small quantities of tannerite (in the quarter gumball machine eggs) as 200 to 400 yard targets. They make a little pop (instant gratification) when you shoot them. To set off a Tannerite explosion you shoot it with a bullet going over 1800 fps. I know how to make Tannerite for about $1 per pound. The more Tannerite, the bigger the pop... Three pounds of Tannerite (a peanut butter jar full) will vaporize a tree stump. Fifty pounds would destroy a car. Fifty pounds of Tannerite is a big target. I should be able to hit it at a great distance 800 meters or so (there will probably be plenty of even better rifles laying around during the Zombie Apocalypse). I would find a safe defendable position. Bait them to a location within range and blow them up. Maybe blow something up to topple down on them or vaporize a large quantity of gasoline with an ignition source. The advantage is, although your attracting them with the noise, your not attracting them to your position. You attracting them around you, but not to you. This would give me time to run and gun to a fall back position if necessary. I'd ultimately have to get more supplies to make more Tannerite, but this way, I'm weeding out more than one with each round fired.

HA HA HA....yes, pref a rather LARGE BODIED anti-gunners! one that has done nothing but sat at a desk for years on years trying to stop us!! That would give the zombies something to chew on for a minute while we re-load.

I keep on thinking about the old sideshow arcade shooting games. The ones wwith the moving ducks/squirrels etc. I enjoy shooting all of my .22s. It would be neat to unlimber the winchester and remington pumps. My wife does not mind reloading for me as long as I give her a turn.

Cheers.

Its nice to hear that some people are like me. Everyone always says that a Zombie Apocalypse would be a bad thing. It could be a fun,... It would also clear up alot of problems, like all the anti gun people.

Very true statements! I think I'll change run and gun, to FUN and gun!!

It seems to me, feel free to disagree, that people do not take responsibility for themselves or their lot in life. I’m not a millionaire and never will be. But I live comfortably because I’m willing to work and by the grace of God, I’ve been able to find gainful employment. I’m not talking about the people currently between jobs or those that have been let go due to the economy. I’m referring to those that can work but refuse to. The ones that stay on the Government take because thay have no respect for themselves or others. I realize this sounds bad, but a Zombie Apocalypse could actually be a good thing for this country.

Advantage #1: Many, if not all, of those that do not take responsibility for themselves and have no work ethic will die off. You can’t change your way of life in an instant. If you too lazy and stupid to get a job (depend on the Government for your existence), you’re probably too lazy or stupid to defend yourself and probably haven’t made any preparations. Instead depending on the Government for your existence. Good bye and good reddens.

Advantage #2: The debate over Gun control would end instantly. Guns are “the great equalizer.†An 89 pound grandmother can kill a 260 pound zombie with the pull of a trigger. I am in acceptable shape for my age, but time waits for no man. Someday, in the not too distant future, I hope to be old and feeble. I like to know that I’ll still be able to protect myself and my feeble wife if necessary.

Advantage #3: Those left would have a great work ethic and a respect for each other because everyone would know what they collectively have gone through. Even the few liberals that survive would probably have changed their tune.

Advantage #4: Everybody left could go move into the really nice houses that the dead liberals left behind.

Advantage #5: This nagging frustration I have about the society that I live in would probably have been relieved by all the zombie slaying I get to do.

I like the idea of using an anti-gunner (or liberal) to lure in the zombies. That works out great. We'll probably have all the bait we want because the same people wanting to take our guns away will be the ones banging on our doors to protect them (with our guns) when the zombies come.

A buddy of mine has some 1600 acres in West "by God" Virginia. He goes there for deer season each year. Its way off in the woods away from all civilization. It has two huge steep mountains with a small dirt service road between them. There is a good size river that runs through the center of it. Next to the river is a bunkhouse that would sleep 30 comfortably. On top of the hills he has planted apple trees to attract deer. I expect to join up with him and head there. We'll pick you, and yours, up on the way, rebeldrummer...

Nice weapon... I'd like to get a AK variant. I'd like a Norinco MAK-90 but have run out of cash at the moment. I like the idea of .30 caliber rounds instead of .223. I think both will be scattered all over the ground when the time comes though. If you can swing it (boatload of cash), I think suppressors are worth it. You don't give away your position as easy.

Speaking of those "gun-opposers"....im sure they would be RUNNING to us for protection. WHy not put them to good use...load them up with ammo, mags, water, food...use them as our mules!! that way we are not loaded down??!! Im thinking 2-3 per gunner should be appropriate!!?? ha ha

Yeah that sounds good but what if they run at the first sign of a zombie. You've lost all of your ammo, food, water, etc. You would HAVE TO hobble them. Leg shackles or something similar would be necessary. They'd be able to walk, but not run away. Plus as an added bonus. If your about to get over run by zombies, just grab your stuff off the liberal and run away. You don't have to outrun the zombie hoard. You just have to outrun the hobbled liberal.

Oh yeah... just a thought, some liberals might be pretty women.

I claim these two pack mules...
