Any body know anything about that General Lee Charger on 11W in Surgoinville? I was just wondering if it was an original from the TV show. It's definitely been jumped! I was just curious.

I think the "original" is reportedly in a museum in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg...

Yeah I believe that Warner Bros. bought up as many as they could find (a couple hundred IIRC). I was just wondering if it was used on the show. It looks right, roll cage, tan interior, correct wheels. And anyone who watched the show and saw the damage that occured when they jumped it, the damage is identical. You can copy the paint, wheels and rollcage, but you can't duplicate the landing damage. I think even the doors are welded shut 'cause it looks like they're still shut tight. I know this is probably a stupid thread but I loved the show and still love Chargers... and I'm waiting for my Ambien to kick in!

I loved Dukes of Hazzard, in matter of fact, I have nearly all of their season DVD except the season where they were replaced by a bunch of wannabees....

Right on, right on, right on.......I screwed around and didn't buy the last two season's, and now I can't find them locally. I'll break down one of these days and buy them on line I guess.

That, supposedly, is one of the originals. You'll see it get moved pretty much only during the "Dukes-fest" in Bristol.

Speaking of the last two seasons.....I just found the 6th season for 20 bucks at a local movie store today :)...now I just need the 7th one (I'm really not interested in the 5th season b/c of the wannabees, but I hear the wannabees didnt do all the espiodes for that season, did they?) Is it worth buying the 5th season?

To be honest, I quite watching each season after the third one was released. I've watched a little bit of the 5th, but I did not like Coy and Vance either, so I quite.............To me, the 5th season is worth it, just to have the whole set.

Wikipedia was right. Ben (Cooter) said they used about 309. John had one of the season 2 Chargers with the 440 in it. That was the one he got rooked on ebay with last year.

The very first General Lee was the General Lee that jumped over Roscoe's car in the opening credits, and it appears again in episode 4, Repo Men. The studio told the crew at the last minute they needed a wrecked 69 charger so they painted the first General green for the show. Travis Bell found the the very first General in a junk yard in Georgia in 2000 ( the owner of the junk yard could not sell the the cars for sprap b/c of all the concrete in the trunk ) and he went back and bought it a year later in 2001 . He showed the car at different car shows, but eventually he sold it on eBay, and the new owner wanted it restored which believe it or not it was fixed after that bad crash. I hope this helps.
