Good .40 cal. load for IDPA

Recommended Posts

I started shooting IDPA about a year ago and have been reloading 9mm and .45 cal. for competition. I have these loads just about were I want them. I am thinking about reloading .40 cal. and would like to know a good setup for IDPA. I would like to load 180 gr. bullets and I am using Titegroup powder. If anyone has a good load that has worked for them I would like some suggestions. Thank you.

I used to use 5grs of Tightgroup under a cast 180gr TC bullet.

5.0 Grains seems like a lot of titegroup for a 180gr. I use 4.5 grains with plated HP's and they pack a decent punch. No chrono numbers but they feel like a factory federal or winchester.
