Kb, if you really have money burning a hole in your pocket look around for something pre 1970 and buy it. Dump some money into it to bring it back to spec. Buy an extra tune up kit and be prepared for the EMP from the super nova coming in 2012. the rest of us will be walking but if you stock some fuel you can smile and wave as you go by.

I would sell a nut to have my 68 C10 back again.

Not sure where the thought that I might have money burning a hole in my pocket came from. I'm as broke as always.

Think I'll just keep paying on the note and keep her.

I vote keep what you have but if you decide not to, don't rule out a duramax. Mine 2500 has got 260,000 miles on it. It was orginally my company vehicle Got it with 17,000 and drove back and forth to cookeville dailey (204 miles round trip) Rides and drives as nice as anything I've driven. Its a 4 door long bed so it is a pain for city parking but a reg bed woud cure that and yes maintenance can be pricey. I love it but like you I never drive it matter of fact I went out to just drive it and the batteries were down. Keeping what you have looks better all the time.

You should get a Smart car. Cut the rear end off and....oh wait, they already did that. Parking, you cold just pick it up and take it with you.

If I bought a truck, I keep leaning toward a F250 diesel. Got a friend that has an Excursion diesel and it has over 300K.

That my friend is impressive. It makes me wish my father-in-law would have given me the heads up before he traded away his diesel Excursion. I don't plan to buy anything anytime soon, but I'm definitely considering a diesel for my next vehicle. That said, I still vote for the OP to keep what he has.

The way the economy is...I'd keep what I have...I mean shoot if all you're doing is putting maybe 2K on it a year...even a Dodge "should" last a good long while...no need IMHO for a larger car note.
